The photoshoot

So, Jess and I got to have a photoshoot done on Tuesday.  Back in February, Jess bid on a photo package donated to Jason’s Friends Charity in a silent auction, and she ended up winning it!  We finally found the time to schedule our session with Bruce Nichols at Mountain Sun Photo, and headed down town on Tuesday to see exactly what we had gotten ourselves into with this photo package.  Bruce was extremely nice and we ended up having a great time.  Since the weather was beautiful, a one day break from the rain/snow/cold we’ve had since our last post, we took advantage of it and went to Nancy English Park and got some outdoor shots.  We changed outfits 3 times and Jess even got to wear a southern belle outfit that Bruce had in his vast collection of “costumes.”  We’ll be sure to let you all see some of the pictures once we get them!  As for me, I actually enjoyed not being the one behind the camera, or having to settle for our standard couple shot taken from an arm length’s distance.  :-)

Other than that, we’ve been pretty busy around here.  Jess has been working non-stop (she was on call last weekend), and I’ve been trying to keep myself busy with a variety of projects from housework to programming.  We have found a church that we really like here in Casper, United Church of Christ.  Their tagline is “Offering a progressive liberal voice in Casper,” so how could we not try it out!  We’ve gone the past three Sundays, and we’ve really enjoyed the services and the messages we’ve heard, so I think we’ll be going back some more.  I’m sure we’ll have more to tell about later.

Well, that’s it for now!  More to come soon…

Photogenically yours,

Neal and Jess

Sounds like the UCC will be a good fit for you guys. Sounds a bit (just a little bit) different than our Lutheran church here in Stanwood. The main thing is that you connect with fellow believers and build those relationships that will help give you support through the tough times. Although my first practice was an ideal work situation from the standpoint of support, mentoring, and sharing the workload it was lonely initially since the people at the clinic were the only people in town we knew. It wasn’t until we made the connection with Our Saviour’s that Linda and I had any close froends. Keep up doing the fun projects around the house while remodeling and good luck to the both of you.
